• Sarah is an upholsterer and furniture restorer. Originally she trained in Visual Communications with a degree from Gray’s School of Art. After a number of years working in graphic design she craved the hands-on work of making and restoring. Starting with an evening class in furniture restoration it was obvious this was the direction she had to take. This led to a 2 year course in furniture making, restoration and upholstery. Back in 2012 she opened her workshop in Glasgow’s ‘hidden lane’. Her focus is on bespoke domestic furniture, however she has worked on some exciting projects such as creating bespoke pieces for Glasgow’s Vivienne Westwood store. Her work has been featured in publications such as Grazia, Homes and Antiques and Vogue.
