Studio makeover

Hello! I am finally showing you a sneaky peek at the new studio. So here it is...

Well it is the same studio but with an scrumptious new look.

Outside I have kept the same colours the same as before because I love them so much but I have added some bright details. The bench and pots are both from Ikea,  I have painted an Ikea Skogsta kitchen bench with a lovely outdoor paint in cornflower blue and sprayed areas of the pots yellow.  I wanted to add a little yellow to highlight my logo on the door. I feel like summer has definitely arrived!

A close up of the happy pots!

If any of you have been into my studio you will know that at points it can be a bit of a squeeze getting in! I always wanted an area for my customers to have a seat while looking through fabric books. I now have this! What a difference it makes - no more trying to clear a space whilst digging out the fabric books. Hooray!

I have used different paint and wallpaper to zone these areas. This fantastic wallpaper by Mini Moderns has been used in the customer area. I couldn't have found a more fitting wallpaper.

I love OSB in a workspace! I have used this quite a lot throughout the studio.

In my customer area I have seating that doubles up as storage. This is my super peg board, I am delighted by how this turned out. It is not only practical but incredibly fun.

Here is my favourite corner which is also for my lovely customers, I love how all these elements come together.

This light was a bargain from made.com. I wanted a pendant light to help zone the front area making it feel less like part of the workshop. It has totally worked! It also gives off a really cosy light which was dangerous in the darker months!

At the back of the studio I have painted the wall in Farrow & Ball Stiffkey Blue. This back wall is where I store all the furniture, I find the tones of the wood and fabrics really jump out against this colour.

This is my absolute favourite mug in the studio, it is by Mini Moderns (the same people who also made the fantastic furniture wallpaper)  I always look forward to my morning cuppa in this charming mug!

I hope you like the new look studio as much as I do!
